Qíhtjàù Se (/qɪ̞t/ /ˈjəʊ/ [demise] [reasonable]) is a temperate Town located in the Suamaga County of the Picham Community.

The name Qíhtjàù Se is derived from the Tauric language, as Qíhtjàù Se was founded by Snoh Castellen, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Qíhtjàù Se has a yearly average temperature of 29°C (84°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 32°C (89°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a warm 27°C (80°F). Qíhtjàù Se receives an average of 187 cm/y (73 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Qíhtjàù Se covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 4352 m (14278 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Qíhtjàù Se was founded durring the early 14th century in fall of the year 1348, by Snoh Castellen. The establishment of Qíhtjàù Se was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Qíhtjàù Se's construction back out of the project. Snoh Castellen pushed on reguardles, and Qíhtjàù Se was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Qíhtjàù Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Qíhtjàù Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Qíhtjàù Se is buildings are arranged arround a network of premissive gravel streets which form a diagonal shaped grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town is the proud owner of a thick set of fortified walls fashioned from querried stone blocks. While not up to snuff for a fort or castle wall, the town's walls are naturaly much larger than those of forts or castles. Therefore, the construction such a wall is most expencive. Qíhtjàù Se's buget focused wall would serve its community well in battle in spite of looking unimpressive compared to castles and fortresses. The town's top tier civilian fortifications are visibly old, but also obviously well maintained. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with routine mantance of the town's defences.

Looking around Qíhtjàù Se you immediately realise that the locals are looking back at you. All of them. Everywhere you look somone is staring back at you analytically, looking over every inch of you, your gear, and your companions. As you get close to people, their hands move closer to their belt knife, or dagger. You may want to watch where you go and what you say...

Cultural Notes

Qíhtjàù Se's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known primarily for its use of abstraction and simplicity. Clean lines, right angles, and primary colors characterized this aesthetic and art movement expressed via architecture and paintings. Its design ethos allows only primary colors and non-colors, only squares and rectangles, only straight and horizontal or vertical lines. Vertical and horizontal lines are positioned in layers or planes that do not intersect, thereby allowing each element to exist independently and unobstructed by other elements. These seemingly impossible principals for an architectural style coalesces into structures which most experts find hard to put into words. It is not that their geometry is impossible, but rather the style's attempt at producing works only describable visually was most successful..

Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is long in Qíhtjàù Se.

The Achaierai near Qíhtjàù Se are known to be quite timid.

Qíhtjàù Se's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves line dance to channel Enchantment energies of tier 2 via recitation of scripture.

They may be trying to take over the industry, or they may have been the ones to enable it in the first place and are using it to crush the life out of any rival power bases. Outsiders might be playing a major role as well, and it could be they plot to siphon off the profits.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century a local hero by the name of spared the town from the rampage of a legendary monster. The recitation of the hero's story remains a popular tavern and fair tale.
